The aim of this special issue is to explore a new area of finance related to behavioural corporate finance. The issue will publish theoretical and empirical papers that promote understanding of behavioural corporate finance in the Euromed region, in order to understand how CEOs’ psychological biases affect their corporate decisions making, and how we can govern psychological biases such as overconfidence or optimism.
Suitable topics include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Behavioural financing decisions
- Behavioural corporate governance
- Managerial psychology
- Managerial optimism and firms' technical efficiency
- Managerial overconfidence and R&D spending
- Managerial psychology and earnings management
- Managerial psychological biases and corporate disclosure
- Managerial psychological biases and environmental disclosure
