New application domains demand ever-increasing adaptability and performance. Today, research is pushing forward, looking for complex heterogeneous, reconfigurable multi-cores architectures. Reconfigurability allows efficient hardware acceleration and virtually unlimited adaptability. Self-adaptive and autonomic computing systems are able to configure, heal, optimise and protect themselves without the need for human intervention.
This special issue aims to collect quality research articles with a solid background in both theoretical and practical aspects of reconfigurable architectures and self-adaptive autonomic systems.
The issue will carry revised and substantially extended versions of selected papers presented at the Third International Conference on Advances in Computing, Communications and Informatics (ICACCI-2014). However, we also strongly encourage researchers unable to participate in the conference to submit articles for this call.
