The main challenges before the organisations are to manufacture goods and provide services in the global competition. This demands an increase in productive efficiency of the organisations. Industrial Engineering plays a vital role in increasing productivity. Industrial Engineering techniques are used to analyse and improve the work methods in order to eliminate waste and proper allocation and utilisation of resources. The ultimate objective is to achieve sustainable competitiveness, which reflects the search for a development model that would balance economic prosperity and social sustainability.
The issue will carry revised and substantially extended versions of selected papers presented at International Conference on Advances in Industrial Engineering Applications (ICAIEA2018), but we also strongly encourage researchers unable to participate in the conference to submit articles for this call.
