A special issue of International Journal of Computer Applications in Technology
We are interested in whatever helps, will help eventually, or might help computers to meaningfully process language data. This special issue promotes the exchange of opinions between experts working in different areas of the growing field of computational linguistics and intelligent text processing. The main purpose of the special issue is to bring together scientists representing linguistics, computer science and related fields, sharing a common interest in the advancement of computational linguistics and natural language processing. The issue covers a broad spectrum of disciplines working towards enabling intelligent systems to interact with humans using natural language.
The research and development of such systems, which exploit knowledge in the target domain, is at the forefront of modern research. This special issue is intended to present applications of intelligent text processing. Submitted papers are expected to postulate diverse problems, models and solutions for these applications.
Papers are invited on recent, substantial, original and unpublished research on all aspects of computational linguistics and intelligent text processing with its application, methods and applications, including, but not limited to:
- Representation of linguistic knowledge
- Morphology, syntax, semantics, parsing
- Text generation data mining
- Document classification and clustering
- Information retrieval
- Text mining and applications
- Dictionary search
- Question answering
- Intelligence systems for e-business
- Knowledge-based systems
- Automatic text summarisation and information extraction
- Classification and clustering
- Machine translation and translation aids
- Spell checking
- Natural language interfaces
- Information retrieval/NLP applications
- Information extraction/summarisation
- Cross-Language information retrieval
- Knowledge acquisition and representation
- Knowledge management
- Web-based information systems and applications
- Machine learning and data mining
