Call for papers: Manufacturing for Alternative Energies

Call for papers: Manufacturing for Alternative Energies

A special issue of International Journal of Mechatronics and Manufacturing Systems

Alternative energy is a term used for an energy source that is an alternative to using fossil fuels. This form of non-conventional energy derived from non-fossil fuels includes all energy sources that minimise environmental impacts relative to conventional hydrocarbon resources. This special issue highlights research and development into recent advances in materials, manufacturing processes and mechatronics systems for alternative energy devices.

The special issue invites the submission of high quality research articles related to manufacturing for alternative energies. Special interest will be on applications of alternative energy devices, such as solar energy systems, fuel cell systems, photovoltaic systems, etc. This special issue accepts original research articles or any other original contribution review papers, short communications on new concepts.

Topics covered by this special issue include, but are not limited to, following forms of alternative energies:
  • Photovoltaic technology conversion
  • Biomass conversion
  • Biofuel energy
  • Hydrogen energy
  • Solar thermal applications
  • Geothermal energy
  • Wind energy technology
  • Tidal/wave energy
Important Date
Submission: 31 March 2010

The need to use renewable energy as an alternative to using fossil fuels is the need of the hour. How do you think this can be used in iPhones ?
